This Sub Registrar office is in Guindy's SIDCO Industrial Estate (a.k.a Thiru-Vi-Ka Industrial Estate). It's an extension of the Sub Registrar's office on Jeenis Road, Saidapet. On date, there are no direction boards or signs anywhere on the roads that lead to it, so if you are going for the first time, there's no other easy way to find it except through Google Maps! The Sub Registry is on the I Floor of a multi-storeyed building at the back of the TNP A&NI GDC (Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar Islands Geo-spatial Data Centres) compound, which is also opposite the Guindy block of offices of some high-ranking officers of Chennai Police. It's not too clean or well organized but a shade better when compared to it's parent office in Saidapet. For instance, it's not as crowded or noisy as its parent. A token system is followed which makes it easy for visitors to come at pre-assigned time slots without the fear of losing their rightful turns. Sufficient seats are available in the waiting area (outside the main office) for those who need to wait. There's a small Canteen functioning in the adjacent building but you can get only some 'tiffin' items there and coffee & tea. As there are no other eating places nearby, if it's mealtime, be sure to first eat your meal and then go! There is ample parking space for vehicles in the grounds below the office.
