We bought 3 Acres of agricultural land in Vandavasi in 2010 and even after spending lakhs of rupees, we weren't successful in developing it into a proper farm. We became part of Chennai Urban Farms around 16 months ago. We visited Palaar gardens and Athher showed us the plots and explained his business model. He toured us through the other projects they had completed and his own Farm house. Overall It was a overwhelming experience. When it comes to land type of deals it is better to be skeptic, and so were we. We went through the documentation and other stuff and finally chose a plot.The main reason we chose buying with Athher and team was due to the fact that it would soon be a collective farming. As individual owners we would not have the time, money and knowledge to do various farming activities but as a collective it was possible. We got involved in planting the trees in our plot and planning the things we wanted to do. From nothing to owning a plot, one cow, around 20 trees growing, regular supply of Milk and Veggies (grown in the farm without chemicals) has been possible in the last 16 months, thanks to CUF team. We feel it has been an incredible journey so far. We soon will have a full south Indian meal which would have all ingredients except salt which would have been from the farm. Recently all the owners have come together and formed teams along with CUF to become part of managing the farming activities. We are in our capacity planning various activities ranging from Poultry, building Brick oven, building toilets and camping at the farm and get more and more involved in the activities. In spite of the driving distance every visit induces a positive energy that motivates us for working towards next milestone. CUF has been instrumental is enabling us towards our goals.

My dream to own a farm has come true with Paalaar urban farms. It's good to be part of this green initiative. A small part of making this earth better. Happy to receive fresh milk and vegetables from the farm. Collective farming is really a very good idea. Atther sir you are really living to your word of delivering farm fresh goods.

When we decided to buy a farm land we had visited 3-4 places but we were not happy with that places . We found paalar urban farms ( earlier Chennai urban farm) in FB . We called Atther who is initially known to us as proprietor of PUF later we understand he is labor/milk delivery man/farmer etc., and also owner . He guided/conveyed us all the activities happening/planning in the farm land . In the first visit itself my entire family were IMPRESSED and we have decided to buy. We have purchased farm land from PUF on March 2019 . The overall process went very smoothly . I mean legal/administration/ communications... all . From that day till today, I hope in future too the momentum, enthusiasm, support, responsibility remains growing/will grow day by day . We have purchased two plots of arround 7500 sqft in the project "Paalaar Greens" promoted and developed by Mr.Atther Ahamed, five years back. The idea is to develop a green livinghood away from city for our peaceful settlement and enjoyment of nature with our own trees and plants. Mr Atther has assured that he will do all possible help in developing the project as per our expectations. Now the trees have grown up and they are in the yielding stage. Thanks to Mr.Atther who has provided necessary help for developing the plots and maintaining the trees.. Now we have moved to the next stage of constructing a small farm house for our week end visits, Hope the team will behind us in completing the task .
