Food cravings chennai Where Chennai eats

Destination: @royalasthan_ . On Entering their premises, the first view onwards you are taken into a different place with complete decor, setups all resembling a Rajasthan palace. We started with some shorba (soup) served on the sand cups. They remained hot for long and it was thick and tasty . Then we went with few starters Veg sheek kebab, hara bara kebab, paneer pakoda and makkai tikki. Makkai tikki has corn and peas made into cutlet while hara bara kebab has spinach, peas and potatos made into cutlets. Paneer pakoda was tasting awesome with the mint chutney. Each starter gave their unique taste and flavors. . Then comes their main course Rotis. They have a big list to select from Makkai roti, missi roti, bajare ki roti, tandoori roti and their methi bajra poori each had different tastes. I love methi bajra poori and missi roti. They were good with malai paneer kofta, sev tomato subzi and ghata ki subzi. Paneer kofta was mild sweet with the consistency of the kofta was soft and I loved it. . Finally we ended up with their rich lassi with lots of nuts making it thick, tasty and flavored. Moongdal halwa was good. It was the sweetest among both. Everything here was good. They didn't even give any small chance to complain. From their soup to the desserts each had their rich texture and taste. . A North Indian themed restaurant with variety of vegetarian dishes on their menu waiting for your presence... They have good parking space. It is good for long conversations and kids will do like the theme.

This place has good variety of dishes and also the ambience is very good. The place is decorated with all the rajasthani elements in order to provide a full authentic experience. The customer service could be a tad better. It was understaffed at the time I went to have lunch. The food is affordable and also delicious.

Rajasthani cuisine is pretty much limited to one another restaurant in Chennai and I was quite happy to know that there's actually a second pure vegetarian Rajasthani restaurant in town, that too in Cathedral road. Royalasthan is now a pure vegetrian restaurant serving affordable yet authentic food in the heart of Chennai. Some of the things you should definitely try include Tomato Shorba, Paneer Tikka, Poori, Gatte Ki Sabzi. They also have a Thali at 190 which includes an assortment of all items. Do give it a try.

Good place with nice ambience. Service was really good & they were really sweet as they explained what goes in each dish & suggested the best option based on our requirements. Costing is really reasonable. Just that there were limited options for desserts which was a bit disappointing. One more thing is that it has good parking space for cars. To be on the safer side just check with them for reservations ( generally they don't accept reservation) .
