MGM Sea Crest resturant is within the MGM resort. The entry is adjacent to MGM Dizzy World next area. You need be slow to see the entrance. Me and few others had gone ahead and reverse back. The parking lot within the resort is ample and open filled with trees (beware of bird droppings). The restaurant has ala carte and buffet depending on the day of the week. Weekend are generally buffet serving at 1400 INR per person and alcohal is seperate. Pint of beer is 300 tax. Being on the costlier side, the place makes it up with pure natural ambience. You are literally sitting at the sea shore with a majestic view of Bay of Bengal! There are lot of variety (25) on offer from continental dishes to South Indian dishes on buffet including desserts. They even had live counter for grilled fish which was yum. Some dishes were bland in taste, which is expected when you have so much of variety. Overall a nice experience, the staffs were courteous and professional. They even made us Chicken soup since we don't consume mutton which was on buffet soup. Great gesture. Point to note, given the covid situation all the taps have been converted to a foot lever operation! Hands down best thing to avoid mutual contact!

Wonderful ambience. Got seated outdoor facing beach. Nice buffet spread. Non veg starters are too bad. Non veg main courses are pretty good and desserts too. We all had Sterren lager beer. Served chilled. Attenders are very responsive.

The beach, sand, the waves, and the serenity is just awesome...we went last month to marina and did not enjoy it at all...this was just a blissful experience...spent a lot of time with the kids making sand castles, got wet in the water...a very beautiful place to hang out and spend the day...the buffet had a lot of veg and non-veg varieties and even there were many desserts too...we also got a table of our preference on request from Mr. Asif Ali..we will be back soon ...

The place is a hidden gem for beach lovers. There is seating arrangement inside as well as outside you will love the ambience ! well the food was average and same goes for drinks.. the service is quick and the waiters are helpful. I will try my luck with the food one more time for sure

Location is awesome and you can enjoy sea view while having the food. But the food is not that good and also the variety of snacks is less. So they should improve their food quality.

Spread in buffet was great. Both veg and non-veg were given equal importance. Surprisingly veg menu had Thai green curry which was so authentic that i had to forgo one or two non-veg dishes to relish on Thai green-curry. Property is well maintained and best fit to spend a day with family around seashore and kids play area is adequate to keep the kids engaged

Ambience is one of the best around Chennai for group dining. Sea facing seating was beyond what was expected. Place was clean, service was decent. Parking was aplenty. Only gripe I had was the food, it was below average. We took the buffet and the vegetarian options are worse than what you'd get in a budget hotel. The food was no match for the ambience. They do serve alcohol. Go there if you want to chill and don't care about the food. If you want to eat, this isn't the place.
