Dropped in for a quick lunch and was pleased with the overall experience. I was impressed to see all staff following COVID protocol. As they have a limited menu, there is little room for variety in the dishes. All dishes tasted well and the service was good.

There was a wait before we got a place to be seated as a group... They dont take reservations for the weekend... Nobody had a complain for the food and deserts we ordered... Overall a good dining experience... Would surely go back...

it's hard to forget the past, especially if the predecessor was called “The English Tea room” and was considered one of the best Theme Restaurants in Chennai. The Mayflower is located in one of the best living area. Its big straight is the bright environment with a huge glass window. The ambience is decent, post-modern very much indicated for chill time. The service is very attentive and friendly. The negative side is the kitchen. Even taking into account that Italy is very far from here, the Pizza served has nothing to do with a real Pizza. Unfortunately, even the cheesecake is not the best! Instead of creamy and fresh, heavy and "spiritless". The overall performance is not good value for money. Sorry!

Though English Tea Room is missed, Mayflower does justice with its bare minimum and brightly lit interior. A very short menu that the chef does wonders with. Whether it is thai or a continental dish, it is simply delicious with a burst of the right flavours. Service is equally good. On the whole, if you don't mind a little hole in your pocket (price slightly steep), this place is must try. Hats off to this team that has the right menu for its chef to work on.
