Had double doors (30-inch @) storm doors replaced. Originally went to a local window company Lowe's. Both companies measured my doorway, I picked out a door & paid for it, but they couldn't install it (? wouldn't fit even though they measured?). Owner of Door Masters personally measured doorway, they had no issues installing. I would give them 5 stars just for being able to complete the installation even if they were jerks, but they were all polite & professional. Definitely recommend.
Doormasters has been a reliable fixer if our garage door for years. Prompt reliable and reasonably priced. I was so appreciative of a simple fix that was offered to me over the phone yesterday, which negated the need for a a service call (I was just lucky it was an ultra simple problem).
I am not yet certain of their products or install, but I can speak to the lack of communication. I called on a Friday and left a message with what I assumed was an answering service who told me someone from the company would get back to me. I got a call Monday for someone who was clarifying what it was I was looking for, asking more questions, gave me a basic quote, and I was shocked that they could send someone out the next day!! I scheduled an appointment to have someone come out Tuesday between 12 and 2. I left work and headed home. But I waited and waited and no one came. By 3:15, I decided to call see if the person was simply delayed or perhaps had the wrong address. Wound up getting an answering service-type response again, saying they would take my information and that a technician would be in touch. By 5pm, still no returned call. UPDATE: I did receive a call the following morning. To start the call, there was no apology; she just wanted to tell me about products that would match my door. Turns out, someone DID come out, but at 9am, while I was at work. He rang my doorbell (captured on my video doorbell but not seen until after this phone call) and because I wasn’t home just measured the door and took pictures. Part of the purpose of having someone out was to be able to talk about the products in person. The individual on the phone wanted to have this installer come back out again to discuss in person. She was not interested in making apologies (even said “I can’t go back in time and change it” which is a true statement), she just wanted to move forward with scheduling to have this installer to come back out. I have already begun to look for another company, one that will not waste my time and then try to get me to take more time off work to come do what they should have done the first time. You have lost a customer, Doormasters.
My garage door spring broke and sounded like a shotgun went off. I was concerned that major damage had occured. After Uncle Google located this company near me. I called and the next day James came out replaced the spring assembly. Done and done!!! Thanks Doormasters
