We have had many cakes over the years from Cake. They did a fantastic job of our wedding cake, christening cake and 3 birthday cakes. It was therefore a natural choice for us to order our daughters 4th birthday cake from them How things have changed. The cake arrived and the top Swiss roll \turret\ fell off as it was poorly secured. We cut into the cake to find that it was a simple sponge cake, not the chocolate cake that we had ordered. It was also bordering on burnt. My wife has emailed Jules twice about this and has not received a reply in 2 weeks. I note that the shop has moved premises recently and it appears that the previous high standards have been left behind at the old premises. We have always loved the cakes they make in the past, but after our recent experience we will not be making another order again. We paid over 100 for a cake that 1) was not what we had ordered 2) was bordering on burnt 3) fell apart It was not good value for money and far from what we had come to expect from this company based on our previous experiences. We were very disappointed all in all, a real shame.

This lady, Jules is a genious, a true artist and I cannot thank her enough for making my husband 60th birthday truly special. I showed Jules a photo of my husband in his trade mark camo trousers and she captured him perfectly. I am so pleased with the cake, not only does it look amazing but it tastes equally amazing. I had a suprise party at the Church in Chester, Jules delivered the cake everyone was amazed at how stunning the cake was. My theme was a gold bar with my husband sitting on top, what can I say, it was exactly as I had imagined, in fact better. Thank you Jules you are a true star, nothing is too much trouble and the cakes are so reasonably priced, if anything too cheap. I cannot thank you enough, I would recommend you to everyone, in fact people in the Church not at my party asked where to get such a cake and could they try it! I hope you get lots of work from my review because you deserve it. 10 out of 10 on every level.
