I went to Houghtons as I had a bad experience from a previous Optician. From the moment I walked in to when I collected my glasses I felt very comfortable. I wanted cheaper frames as I am on furlough at the moment and I wasnt pressured into buying the dearer ones. The staff were very friendly and I will definitely return in a few years. My new glasses are very comfy and I am very happy with them

Won't be returning. Extremely unhelpful staff with a terrible attitude. I asked for advice for my 3 year olds eye and was told to go to A&E. When I asked if they would look to see if a visit to A&E was actually necessary (don't want to add unnecessary pressure to our already struggling A&E department) they refused to even look at it. (Pharmacist in Boots offered me the help I needed simply by taking a look at it). I love to support local businesses but I won't be going back after today. Customer Service rating 0

Recently had an eye test here everyone was really nice the store is very nice too thanks to Vicky who tested my eyes and Steven & Pauline who were both excellent aswell.
