Not clear trails. But follow the road to the ecological study park and the views are beautiful

One of the most accessible examples of an old growth forest in the Eastern US. The 1 mile wheelchair mile trail is downright magical, with posted explanatory signs. The pine grove and the surrounding bog looks like a painting or museum diorama. Bring bug-spray in late spring and summer.

Pack demonstration forest is a great, calm place to visit. Their educational walking trail is well maintained and raised over the swampy areas. It's an easy walk through a nice quiet bit of woods. The pond here is a pretty good place for wild life spotting, ice seen turtles, loons, and birds of prey on my paddles here. The pond itself is pretty small but it's a nice place to visit for a few hours if you're not looking for anything too strenuous. It's very peaceful when the summer camps aren't in session!

Lots of trails...easy hiking. Peaceful and quite.

Found this gem accidently last winter. I don't snowshoe, so went back in late summer for a walk. What a beautifully maintained trail! Most would consider this an easy loop hike, but if you add some walking on a deserted, tree-lined paved road too, there's even more to see. Looks like this trail is the result of land donated by a family named Pack, with NYSDEC and SUNY maintaining and doing educational components. Thanks for the work. Really enjoyed the trail!
