This was definitely worth the hype! We had dreamed about going here for years. However, the price always seemed to be a barrier! Their winter rates were a little bit more reasonable. With covid, we had extra travel money to spend and wanted to be completely isolated. This was perfect! We went over MLK weekend in January 2021. We saw no one else. We had a lovely little cozy cabin. It was bigger that we expected! There was an extra room with bunk beds we never used, a nice size living room with a table, master bedroom, and bath. Plus a three season porch (it was too cold to use, but would be great in other seasons!). All of our meals were delivered and contactless. We also picked out DVDs to watch and got to see some fun ones we haven't seen in years. The hiking trails were gorgeous. Plus, to our surprise, there was full cable tv so we were able to watch the NFL play-off games (Packers won!). My one complaint is the food wasn't nearly as spectacular as we hoped. It was over priced for the quality. I think the quality has probably decreased with the restaurant closed. Portions were small and lacked any sides (example: no butter for bread). I assume it would be better with the restaurant open. That being said, it was nice to be able to order all meals.

Great place for a weekend getaway! We stayed in the Edgewood and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and made social distancing a top priority. It was nice to feel so safe in today's pandemic landscape. We had dinner from the restaurant our 1st night there and the food was delicious. We were able to use high quality snowshoes during the day to get out and explore. Staff were easy to reach via text and our accommodations were super clean, cozy and beautiful. Would highly recommend!

A very quiet place. Bungalows are Well equipped and close to the lake. You can use canoës for free from early in the morning to late in the afternoon. (We stayed here in august) I guess winter is quite different. The restaurant is expensive and does not propose alcoolic beverages other than wine and beer ( water too of course)

Loved this place. My boyfriend now fiancé took me here for a birthday surprise (he proposed here!!). This place is a great get away and has great hiking trails. I would definitely come back.

Couldn't have had a better get away during covid quarantine.

We had an incredible stay at Canoe Bay. I don't often write reviews, but our experience was so great that I had to share it! The grounds were incredibly beautiful, especially covered in snow. Our dining experience was very good, and in particular the service was impeccable. I would absolutely recommend this place! The only thing I would do differently next time (and we really hope to return!) is to stay in a cabin so that we could pack some of our own food, as dining options are limited aside from the wonderful (but expensive) meals at the Inn.

The forest was beautiful and so peaceful. The lake is very small and shallow. We kayaked one time and that was enough. They holding patches were nic but lots of downed trees to climb over. The escape we stayed in was clean and comfortable however the furniture is getting worn out and flattened, we went to Walmart and purchase a cushion to put in the bed and one on the lounge in the screen porch. We went for our 30th anniversary and have been to many wonderful places. This was ok. We had a relaxing time but not an amazing time. If you want amazing for this price go to the north shore. Blue Fin Bay is awe...some. I felt like I was at an little upscale trailer park. We had neighbors to the right and left, so for being in the middle of the woods we had little privacy and when we sat on the screen porch we could hear the traffic on the nearby roads. Lots of trucks going by. We had a stove but had to bring out electric skillet because it was not hooked up. They really want you to buy there very over priced food. Why when you have a full kitchen, you should have a choice. We made the best of it but it was rather Disappointing for the price. Truly I think the full cabin exsperiwnce maybe different. We were I escape village.
