Taxi price is insane, the airport is fine otherwise for a small airport. Very limited amenities. You can walk for 10 minutes and get a far cheaper taxi.

If anyone is wondering, the chetumal airport is open 24h and there are actually comfortable benches to sleep on inside the airport. I arrived at 1am and did not want to travel alone to Bacalar at night, so I slept there. Nobody said anything and there was barely any guests there so it was nice and quiet
