Fabian and his staff went above and beyond to help us with our rental. We are traveling from Bacalar to Campeche on our honeymoon and the car we ordered was too small and uncomfortable for my 6’5 husband. So after driving it for a couple hours we took it back, and Fabian went to another location to get us a different car and save our honeymoon. Thank you!!

“Fraud Do Not Rent Here”! I returned the car on oct 15 @ 3pm local time .. no attendant so had to go into airport to fetch someone. I had been to the beach so there was some sand grains just noticeable. I know because I dusted the floor mats and the seats.. but just like many parts in Mexico (fraud) the attendant wanted me to pay extra for the cleaning and wanted cash! I told him NO! The car is not out of the ordinary. So he said if I don’t give him cash he will make sure to take it out of the deposit. I told him I will not be robbed. I wanted to go back and take pictures of the car interior but he had locked it and would not open it anymore... Please don’t use EuropaCar .. Use a trusted place. This people will rob you. I’m sure this is not an isolated incident. They seem like they has this con to perfection between both attendants! Fraud Do Not Rent Here! Update!!!! 1/5/21 They write a response like they care (see below) but the email they provide is either not active or they’ve blocked me. Because I tried writing to them and it comes back as not able to Deliver email!!!’ Fraud!!!!!

I emailed Europcar Mexico, paid online, and the experience was really smooth except the guy at the airport wanting to charge ("tip") for the letter to cross the border into Belize, which I made sure beforehand was included in the price. Make sure to take pictures/video of the car before you leave. I would rent with them again, just make sure you know all the details of your rental.

Okay experience. The car was filthy when I picked it up which made it hard to check for damage. I checked fairly thoroughly and had them mark down a couple of scratches that I’d found. On returning the vehicle, the staff ‘found’ a ‘new’ scratch practically under the front bumper. It was caked in dirt and they clearly knew it was there already. In the end, I revealed I’d paid extra to waive any excess. They seemed a bit annoyed that they’d spent time trying scam me out of extra cash when clearly they weren’t going to get anything more from me. Europcar are decent, but I wouldn’t rent from them again at this location.

Be aware of this rental station, check your desired car comprehensively (spare tire (nails), all accessoires, all the damage, inclusive the small ones), take the time to check in detail, take pictures if necessary, they will try to charge you. Better decide for local providers, these guys are abusing of the Europcar brand. Definitively not recommandable!!!

Dishonest Thieves! Beware - You will book a rental car online for 120 USD but when you arrive they tell you that you need mandatory insurance that costs 296 dollars for 7 days.
