Shantigiri ashram was established by Fr.Sadanand known as Swamiji ,he was a true saint popular among people of all communities.He worked for the betterment of the society.There are two more institutions in the compound one is Shanti dhara a old age home the other one is Asha Kiran for the specialy abled children.For more details I advice you to visit the ashram.
