It has the same feel that it had back when it was Long Island College Hospital's ER which I found myself going to perhaps 7 years or more. I presented there having had a number of days with a very high temp among a few other issues. They got me in swiftly, took care of business and I was very comfortable while being prepped for a CT scan done right there on the premises. There is a full staff there.

Very old place to be at but it looked safe. At night stay away. And watch out for monsters.

Unfortunately I'm an addict who at the time was trying to get his life back together but was always afraid of the withdrawal part of getting clean.. And for anybody who shares my affliction coming off a heroin is one of the worst things ever! I heard that saint Anthony's had a medical detox program to help people like me get through the detox without suffering as much. When I went there they accepted me with open arms they kept me in a private room for 4 days the nurses and my doctor were great!they didn't look at me and judge me they were non-judgmental they only truly wanted me to get better and give me a head start and a chance on beating this disease. I was a 20-year heroin addict on and off and couldn't figure out why I kept going back to dope any time I had a loss or problems that where out of my control .getting clean isn't just the removal of the drugs from your life it's finding out why you do it 8n the first place especially after knowing what you go through to get off of it.after I went to St Anthony's the people there in the detox program were truly truly helpful, compassionate and friendly. they helped me with the next step after detox by connecting me with a substance abuse counselor and a program to go to after the detox. and I have now been clean for 3 years. thank you saint Anthony for being there and having a program like you do to help addicts and alcoholics get their lives back. when in most cases people will give up on us.you didn't and I shall always be very very greatful thank you very much for helping me save my life. God Bless Mark p

I interacted with about ten different staff members, and every single one of them was helpful and caring. They all seemed to genuinely care about me and my recovery.

Baby Box pickup experience: this location is one of two partner pickup locations in Chicago (you don’t have to be a patient here; you must complete the course and produce the completion ID). I was specifically told to pickup the box at 10am. It wasn’t until 11am that someone brought them out. There were 2 others waiting as well for an hour. The staff is very unprofessional. Hardly any English spoken anywhere. Not only did reception poorly communicate the wait time, but I had been trying to reach the main contact person for this pickup for a month, leaving multiple messages, before I had to speak with a supervisor. No one called me back. If you are told to reach out to a girl named Jocelyn, ask for a supervisor.Bathrooms are a disgrace. Go to the other pickup location. I don’t know if it’s better, but this was not a good experience.
