My parents had full coverage on their home/auto, that were worth more, then the home/Car...everytime, (after 15 years, of not filing a claim, with the Hartford,) they were denied, saying we had to pay percentage, which they wanted to write us a check for 6.00 for over 5,000 in damage to the roof, when it was weather related, but they got their money, all of those yrs, but when we needed help,(the Hartford) were not there for us, and my mother though they were a good investment, in protecting her home/car, all 3 claims were denied, and to try to write out a check for6.00 is insulting, which we NEVER accept, and still have damage to the house, Something NEED to be done, about insurance, that takes your money, but don't provide the services, THIS INSURANCE(THE HARTFORD) IS A RIP OFF, AND WHEN I NOTICED AARP AS A CUSTOMER CONNECTED W/HARTFORD, DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO LOOK INTO THIS SITUATION

I had the wrong idea that an organization linked to AARP will help seniors with affordable insurance so I spent more than 30 minutes on the phone with the Hartford answering idiot questions as if I have pitbull dogs or a swimming pool or a wood pellet stove inside my home to find out their rate for a landlord property (meaning no contents) was more than 1200 a year when an average piece in around 800. outrageous insurance companies are greedy entities seeking to take peoples money for very little in return as they do not insure for the largest threats in America: flood and earthquakes. Also, who don't hesitate to punish you if you file a claim. Go to TRAVELERS for your insurance needs. Stay away from the Hartford.
