Situated in the shadows of the Mullyangiri mountains, the place and setting is beyond beautiful. Evenings are cold and I can just imagine how chilly it might get in December/January at winter's peak. Now in terms of the actual mansion/homestay, imagine a rustic,traditional tiled roof mansion from an old post-raj era time, add to it a huge green estate with coffee plantations, large rooms, clean toilets, a classic hall and a verandah overlooking the mountains in the opposite end and you clearly have a winner. If that was not enough, the food/Malnad cuisine right from breakfast, lunch to dinner prepared was delicious. Loved the chicken curries especially made with gracious amounts of pepper and spices. Special mention for the amazing filter coffee the staff/cook makes ! Describing pros and cons gets tricky since this would be subjective depending upon a person's preferences, likes and expectations. Hence, I'll put it this way - If you want a homestay with all the amenities of a resort/hotel, you might not like this place to the fullest. If you want a traditional home from a bygone era, love old school settings in a coffee estate, then you are in for a treat and shouldn't think twice before visiting. P.S. - Electricity would always be a problem owing to the remote location. But thankfully they have an inverter/generator. Even though no geyser, hot water was made readily available on demand by the workers/staff boys. Lastly special thanks to the owner Anil who is reachable for any concerns and resolves and tends to your needs swiftly.

First of all it’s a beautiful stay for us.. food was really tasty,just awesome, and whatever item they will prepare it’s sufficient for everyone... view from my room is just mind blowing... and the manager mr. Anil is also very helpful.. one plus point of this home stay is they have coffee factory within their premises only, so you can see how everything is going on related to coffee.. one thing I would like to tell that this is not a 3star or 5star hotel, so don’t expect that much comfort or lavish lifestyle here, it’s a feel-good home stay amidst the nature..
The home stay is situated at an AWESOME location. At the middle of a forest/coffee estate. While walking out of the complex, i was followed by a cute deer who ran away quickly when i turned. The food was good & the staff were very cooperative! The entire setup is very old & archaic. I loved the location, food, people & setup. Now the negatives. Hygiene of room, bathroom were questionable. The bedsheets were not proper and after the kid slept for few hours, she kept on smelling weird fungus smell coming from the bedsheet :( We had taken less bedsheets & had to manage putting scarce sheets before sleeping on the bed. That was a bad experience looking at the price the stay takes. They atleast should provide clean sheets. couldnt see white sheets at all!
The stay here was our good decision. The site is some 12 km from the city amidst the jungle area.The scenery is awesome. The only problem i felt was the rooms rest all was good.They have everything you want.Vishwa is the caretaker cause Anil has to manage other hotels which he owns and he is avery good person
Beautiful place..Gives the Vintage Vibe.Mr Anil is really helpful and attends the guests all the time when you need him. the staff also made sure we were comfortable at our stay especially Vishwa .The views when you wake up in the Morning are simply Bliss. Will recommend to anyone who wants a simple but pleasant place
First of all the property owner Mr Anil is a very nice Gentleman The hospitality at the home stay was very fantastic I can say because the property is so Cool place, its very clean n calm. Most important is the boys over there ( ei. Yashawanth n David ) are so cool n co-operative . Let me come to the most important part my trip is food which was amazing , fantastic which my whole family liked n we were feeling like its our own house where we are staying. I sugest each n everybody to visit this place atleast once in lifetime
Excellent stay but you need get adjust with muddy water.
Except room and blanket everything was good. Especially I liked food , simple and testy. Homestay caretaker (Vishwa) was very friendly . This is located in between the jungle and mountain view from homestay is awesome.
