A cozy space for kids to explore. Is it smaller than the Olympia museum but inviting and engaging. I have had my hands in a lot involving this museum and I can say that they really do take time to think about what kids need and what's best for their creativity and growth. Things to note: if you have a membership there are 10 parking spots available. That's it. The building is located downtown so they really have no control over their parking situation. If you take time to look on the website they offer suggestions. They do close for cleaning and members only events and special needs. LOOK ON THE WEB SITE or social media. They post when they will be closed. They also have Play 2 Learn programs which are so fun if you miss out on a museum day. Bring a change of clothes if you have a little who likes water play. We went to this museum for three years almost weekly and we had a great time every time.

It was fun. The place is quit small but they have plenty of activities and the kids can be engaged in lots of activities for 4-6 hours without getting board. There are coloring and painting activities, stem activities, climbing and engineering activities. We loved and welling to visit it again when we are around.
As good as it can get. Amazing place for kids with lot of toys and playing options. As must visit in Tacoma. A big shout out to all the volunteers that keep this place up and running. Safe environment that promotes collaboration and playing together.
A pretty amazing facility. It is basically a kids play area with a learning and development bent. There is a pirate ship with flitting wings, a tree house with stuffed toys, a water area, a book five, a , an exploratory area with tools and art, plus v scull They have a limited eating area, but washrooms are clean and well maintained. Price is by donation, and your patient helps support the museam stay open for all families. A really great experience. Parking is limited to street (cheap) or some limited parking if you are a paid member. They are on transit lines. Bike tracks close by.
