Beautiful old church - sadly it lost it’s pews in the barbarous 60s, but still very atmospheric. King Alfred’s sister was married here in Saxon times, and some parts of the church date back to the Norman period. Friendly and welcoming with a lovely community - but no pressure to attend on any particular schedule either. Traditional evensong highly recommended!

What a wonderful church! Let others pay a fee to see similar churches in tourist places and visit for free this wonderful monument of faith and Christianity. We had a precious quiet moment of prayer in this impressive church which we will never forget. Highly recommended not only to believers but to everyone with a high sense of spirituality. This fortified throughout the centuries church can serve as a gateway to the higher dimensions.
Went to a friend's mother's funeral on 26th February here. The Vicar who officiated, together with the ladies who prepared the afternoon tea, coffee, sandwiches and delicious cakes, were wonderful. Church itself is really quaint and there is a place where you can light candles in memory of your loved ones.
I have come very recently to St Andrew’s and my heart is full of gratitude to God for leading me here. I have been welcomed so warmly from everyone that I feel I have come home
Visited at part of Chippenham Folk Festival when the church was used as a dance venue. Very large and interesting, adapts well for dancing when a temporary floor is laid.
Such a beautiful big church. Enjoyed a charity fundraiser there recently, sad to hear that somebody visited and stole money from those young volunteers who were raising money for the church.
