WALKING DIRECTIONS to the abbey. on Google maps are NOT CORRECT. The stairways leading up to the abbey is hidden away in town near the fountain in the square. Paste this location in the search box for Google maps .... Salita Sabiona, 11, 39043 Chiusa BZ, Italy....but dont follow Google maps directions if you are headed north because it will direct you to walk on the main road and there are parts of the road without sidewalks. Enter the main part of old town and head to the fountain. From there you can find the entrance to the stairway. There is a Jesus on the cross above the stone archway. The abbey is well worth the climb If you're doing it in the summer I would recommend either early morning or late afternoon when it's not so hot. It's a steep climb about 400 feet up. When you get to the top there are panoramic views of the city. Follow the wall around the back of the Abbey and you can enter the churches. Through a tunnel passageway there is another route that takes you around the other side of the mountains and back to the arched entrance

Monastero di suore di clausura situato sopra una roccia sovrastante il paesino di Chiusa. Ci vogliono circa 45 minuti per salire ma ne vale la pena. Sentiero completamente all'ombra. Usare scarpe da ginnastica o scarponcini. L'ultimo tratto è molto ripido.
das Kloster thront imposant seit Jahrhunderten über Klausen. Man sollte aber gut zu Fuß unterwegs sein, da man nicht mit dem Auto hochfahren kann. Beide Kirchen können tagsüber ohne Gebühr besucht werden, genauso wie ein Teil des Komplexes. Man hat hier eine gefühlte Ruhe, und einen fantastischen Panoramablick. Der Weg vom der man malerischen Innenstadt von Chiusa lohnt sich.
Molto carino visto da fuori, passeggiata tutta in salita merita, fanno comodo i bastoncini
Panorama mozzafiato. Giardini fioriti bellissimi. Monastero scavato nella roccia. Assolutamente da vedere. Non c'è ingresso da pagare, raggiungibile solo a piedi circa 25-30minuti sopra Chiusa. Consigliate scarpe da trekking (non adatto a passeggini)
Nettes kleines Kloster oben in den Bergen. Anfahrt mit größeren Fahrzeugen eher sehr schwierig. Ab Höhe 2,50 und Breite 2,10 muss man weit außen herum über das Hinterland anfahren, teils auf engen Serpentinen. Dann nur 4 kleine Parkplätze, der Rest von ca 350m zu Fuß
Posto molto semplice da raggiungere attraversando il bellissimo borgo di Chiusa. C'è un silenzio inverosimile..la chiesa della croce è davvero bella..per chi passa dal piccolo borgo consiglio di fare tappa lì!!solo a piedi mi raccomando
Fantastica Esperienza, si sale solo a piedi. Inaspettata la bellezza delle Chiese che scopri salendo, soprattutto quella all'interno della parte antica
