This is, by far, the best bar I found in Akihabara. The girls are extremely nice and willing to put up with my constant failures at speaking the Japanese language. They are also not super clingy like other bars. It gives me a chance to think of conversation topics and check my phone. The food is always delicious and freshly made, the drinks are strong and not watered down, and the best part about this bar is the price. I went to a lot of these kinds of bars around Akihabara and usually paid well over 10000 yen for an hour, but at the Grand Pirates, I spent 3 hours, had 8 drinks, bought a plate of chicken and fries, and even got a chekki with one of the waitresses all for around 6500 yen. The only negative is that they don't have any english speaking waitresses, so most foreigners are turned away at the door or strongly urged to find some place else to drink. However, if you know Japanese they will welcome you with open arms.

席は満員なのに女の子が2人しかいなかった。 もう少しいてほしい。
