Walking around in Tokyo Station is always a challenge. Judging by the number of native Japanese people who frequently looked for maps, I doubt that it is a tourist problem. So, when you are seemingly lost, and you are hungry, and you wanted to yell, "I gave up", you would be glad to find that the restaurants there do not suck. And, among them all, Kisuke is one of the restaurants that I would recommend if you like beef. Well, beef tongues, that is. Beef tongues are expensive, no question about it. A plate of thin slices costs a lot here in NYC. Let me say this, before my last trip to Tokyo, I've never eaten thick cut beef tongues. The moment I put one into my mouth, I knew I would regret it -- because it would be difficult to find another restaurant in NY that can serve me the same thing at this price. Trust me, don't turn on your brain, don't think -- just order the thick cut beef tongues.

My best Gyutan restaurant. Available choose Shio or Tare tasting, but I recommend strongly Shio tasting.
Very tender juicy BBQ tongue, must try the 厚切， so far it's the best BBQ tongue I've ever eaten, even better than the other day we ate at negishi.
Great little restaurant tucked away on Kitchen Street in Tokyo Station. The beef tongue here is really excellent. You can choose between thin and thick - facing had the thick I recommend it highly. It has a great flavour and very tender texture. Seating here is at a few small tables, but mostly at a couple of long communal tables. This is not a place for a leisurely dinner with colleagues, but you also don’t feel too rushed to leave.
Cool little spot that serves Beef Tongue. It's almost like a skirt steak except shaped like a shish kebab. The food tastes great and the staff is really friendly. They have an English menu and lots of additional side dishes that you try. The Ox-tail soup is really good and so are the fish cakes. If you get the chance drop in and order the 6 or 8 pieces of beef tongue. It'll hit the spot but not make you too full that you can't get out there and enjoy some other restaurants. Channel your inner glutton and get out there for some good food.
