Chocolate cake and other desserts were delicious! As a chocolate lover, Cho-Kwok-Lat has really nailed all those cravings and taste buds I have. Perfect balance between sweet, creamy, full-body, and robust. The shop itself was neat and tidy and can't wait until the covid-era is over to enjoy the full in-store experience!

When I was younger, I used to walk to the Markham Main Street every weekend. Happy to see a new pastry shop in the neighbourhood! Would love to try different dessert when I am next in Markham. I order a chocolate cake in advance for my mom’s birthday and it was very rich but not too sweet. Highly recommended ! The shop is also very adorable and would be great to relax in a modern cafe. The last time I had high quality chocolate was in Paris and this shop quality is definitely at that level!
wow: i love this place!! I heard my friends talked about it, finally i came to get some pastries for my friends and family. I love the fruit tarts & black sesame croissant, Every piece of pasty is so beautiful, it was so hard to pick & choose. I must come back & try different ones! i also have recommended my friends to come. Hope very soon we get to sit in, enjoy a cup coffee and a piece of pastry there with my girlfriends
Amazing service from a gentleman named Chris. Had a few pastries from here before and came back again because it was so good! I would highly recommend this place for artisan pastries. Support local businesses and great places like here!
Got this delicious cake for Valentine's Day. Everyone in my family agreed it was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. You could taste the individual components that all work so well together. 10/10

WOW. High quality pastries and desserts. Firstly, they are exquisitely designed and each one looks so unique. The taste reflects that. These aren’t simple desserts. There are a lot of intricate flavors and input that goes into making something like this. There’s sweet and cold and bitter and tarty. Lots of options to suit every tastebud. The Rocher was my favorite, along with the Exotic Coconut Mango Passionfruit (which had mango Icecream in the middle).
I wanted to pick up some desserts for my friend's birthday and Google recommended me this place. Came here and got a bunch of cakes. For myself I got the Banana one and the Rocher. I usually hate banana flavoured anything, but this changed my perspective on it. They're both well executed and there's a thought to these products. I think the chocolate can be richer, but my mom seems to love it. I came on a Friday afternoon and the store was sadly empty. If you ever want to relocate, come closer to Toronto. I won't have to drive 1 hour to get there and you will def sell out by mid afternoon.
