No wheelchair-accessible entrance
First visit today walked 8 miles to get there after hearing good things. Unfortunately very overgrown and full of litter and beer cans around the pond and dog mess everywhere. Sign of the times.

On a clear day, the short walk up from the car park to the OS trig point rewards you amply with a view which includes Snowdonia and the Lake District.
Denham Hill quarry is quite small but the cliffs are huge. There's an information board at the entrance explaining the millions of years of geology that went into forming the rocks you'll see. A very picturesque pond lies in the base of the quarry. Well worth a visit if geology or rock climbing is your thing, there's free parking too.
This is the quarry where Fred Flintstone and Barnie Rubble worked many years ago.
