I don't like intestine...but this was different. Absolutely incredible taste and I'll go back every time I'm back in Penang. Feels like a 'once in a lifetime' find!

Went with missus to get a light breakfast while visiting the morning market. It is just located next to a local coffee shop. It serves super fast as well, it don’t need to cook on hot wok or whatsoever but just scoop the porridge and remember the requirements of each customers request. I remember eating it when I was young, hence I was raised around Georgetown area in Chulia Street and it used to be a lot more bigger bowl.... perhaps I was wrong as I was younger that time. Thus, portion is small for an adult. Maybe it’s the standard size but after so many years the price really raise up to a lot for RM 7 per bowl. Needless to say pork is quite expensive nowadays in Malaysia and it really do takes a lot of work and time to washing the intestines and all. It’s still nice after all smooth in texture but not that generous on the filling. My brother later told me that there is one more porridge stall which is nicer just down the street.... Well might try out one day but anyway, worth a go on this.
Very nice porridge with mix of pork and organ.
Classic Penang breakfast.
Simple flavourful porridge with fried intestines. Good place to explore, local market with local goods n food.
No review can do this place justice. As a fan of fried intestines and offal, this uncle definitely does it justice.
I've tried the porridge and I loved it. You can pick and choose the ingredients you want. And of course I have chosen the deep fried intestines. If you don't like to eat innards, you might not like it.
So far it is the best but the ladies have problem as they always forget me, even the new comer got their porridge and I was still waiting. My friends finished their food and I was still waiting. Reminded her 3 times still didn't serve me. So must remind her from time to time if she or they forget your order !
