I got my lexus fixed from these guys. I got inspection of my car just 4-5 days prior going to Acton Automotives. My Wof was failed because of tyres and brake rotors. I got them changed. I thought to go to these guys to get the new wof done. After inspection they told me that my low beam lights are not good, which was totally fine 3-4 days ago and were not mentioned in previous wof. I had no other option so had to get them fixed. Those were the expensive ones. Later I found the water pipe attached to windscreen water bottle is missing. It only needs to be taken out to get access to change lights. I rang them and the guy was not helpful. He said he can’t remember the built of structure of car and can’t recall if it is just behind the light or somewhere else. Not happy with the communication. They just don’t bother to help you out at all. Don’t want to go there in future.

First of all, if your car is a BMW, don't go to their shop. Because they will keep you spending a lot of money, but can't help you repair your car. They are liars. In July, my Mini's engine fault light showed that there was something wrong with the engine and my car was keep shaking. I went here to replace the spark plug and coil, which cost me 824, but the car was still shaking after the replacement, and the fault light came on again two weeks later, so I took the car to their store for another inspection. They gave me another bill about 1200. I think they're deceiving me into spending 800 to replace four spark plugs and coil. When I asked for evidence, they refused me because of the long time ,But it's actually less than three weeks. I asked them to explain why my car still shakes after replacing the spark plug and the fault light keeps on. The supervisor said is not their fault. I spent 800 to fix the problem and nothing was fixed. Instead, they gave me another 1200 bill.

Was disappointed with communications here. They had my car for over a week yet I seemed to be the one ringing to see how far they had got with my car. I couldn't go to work for over a week whilst it was in their shop, but as soon as I mentioned this he said he will make it priority but he should have done this from the start. Very expensive repairs & had to get things done on a WOF that they didn't pick up on only weeks before.

Top quality service and repairs on my BMW. Explained everything in detail and offered great advice too. They have years of experience with European cars and know what they are talking about. Best of all they charge a very fair price (not dirt cheap but not too expensive either). For the thorough service, it was worth every cent. Thank you Acton. Great alternative to European car owners who don’t want to pay the premium pricing from dealers.

Recently had my BMW 3 series looked at here for an oxygen sensor, very helpful, communicative and polite staff. Reasonably priced and will be returning for any other issues I have! Great to find a reliable garage here in Christchurch!
