Jim sold me a great R1200R, and sorted a problem after I bought it even though I live in North Island. On recent trip to Burt Monro my brothers bike developed an electrical fault and had to be transported to Jims shop, not only did he stay late for us, but also worked out a great deal on a hire bike so we could continue our trip. Awesome knowledge, awesome service, highly recommend them.

I just can't speak highly enough of the service I received from Ross and Jim at Bavarian. My BMW suffered an electrical system failure on the way to the Burt Munro Challenge in February (in Foxton, but that's another story). These guys came to my rescue when our "FIX" failed 42KM outside Kaikoura.. Two tows later, special shout out to SOS Towing in ChCh for getting me there same day for half of what I was charged to get salvaged to Kaikoura.. Pro Tip: Don't get towed to Kaikoura :) Anyway, Jim stayed open for me till we arrived 6:30pm so he could diagnose and order parts overnight if needed. Turns out the Stator failure is common on my model after 90,000Kms... Got a hell deal on a rental from there fleet and had a ball completing the mission on a Honda CX500. Boy are they better than I expected.. Flying back to grab my bike in a week or two when the parts are back in the country. They saved me a bunch of cash with an aftermarket stator at 420 vs the genuine part at 1200. I believe Jim's knowledge of the systems and mechanics of BMW motorcycles is the best in NZ. Their rental operation is great too, they've got a good choice of models, low fees, good insurance and great advice. Go there. Please tell them Phil Brown sent ya :)
