Great bike and service! We went to pick up the bike but then he offered to come and get it later which was perfect. Also charges 1/4 of what some of the other companies do. Thanks! FYI for others - place can be a bit tricky to find so just call and he can stand outside so it’s more obvious

On a working trip in NZ and spent 2.5 days in Christchurch when I arrived. Decided to hire a bike for 2 days to get around Christchurch, so I wanted an easy 'runaround'. Craig had a trail bike available and delivered it to my accommodation, set it up, provided helmet and cycling map (and useful local knowledge). It was a very nice bike, and turned out to be the perfect way to run around town to get to the university and the central library (for work) while also getting to see some of the sights, and then squeeze in some leisure cycling on the cycle trails. Far better and quicker than faffing around with buses and so I highly recommend hiring a bike while in town. Craig had what i needed, at a very competitive price., quick and efficient and straightforward - one phone call. My one negative was that the saddle was hard for my taste - next time I would ask in advance for a gel saddle. Would definitely use City Cycle again.

We are renting the bikes for 7 weaks and everything went without a problem. The bikes are pretty new and really light, you have 5 panier bags to store your stuff and all the gear is included, so its the perfekt bike for a long tour. The service was perfect, he checked the bikes for us, brought them to our hostel the next day and he stores our stuff that we want to leave in Christchurch. His garage is a bit hidden but he was there to show us where it is.

We hired two touring bikes for three weeks and they were in bad shape. We even had to fix things our selves along the road, but he didn't want to pay for it. Service was good though, he picked our stuff up from the hostel and brought us back when we arrived back in the city.
