As we are part of the DSC Group, it makes us a little different to other architectural firms. Yes, we design both residential and commercial projects, ranging from the small to the very large as shown on our Projects page. However, thanks to our relationship with SurveyingNZ and ComplyNZ we are more than your standard design studio. We have immediate access to experts in building surveying, structural engineering, weathertightness, and building compliance. Hence, DesignNZ is experienced with weathertight remediation, earthquake rebuilds, and construction detailing. We also assist national and international companies with compliance documentation and detailing. In addition we assist with quantity takeoffs, planning / subdivision applications, structural engineering, and resource consent applications. The majority of our work comes from repeat business and referrals, which we are always grateful for. We are dedicated to providing a valued service and continue to look at ways in which we can improve and expand to meet the needs of our clients. Likewise, we have a reputation with councils that we are proud of and strive to exceed. We consider councils as partners in the process of providing our clients with as stress free an experience as possible. ComplyNZ also assists this relationship, as many of the staff are ex-council and are all either building inspectors or building consent processors. We can even help those who have had their drawings completed by others but want assistance with the building consent application process. Our administration team can complete the relevant application forms, review your documentation, upload to the council and track it through the council process.
