Went a few years ago and it was bad but I tried it as I hadn’t been there for ages and new owners with amazing chips, they are homemade chips and I carve them now they are the best I’ve had. Their batter is also quite nice and not very greasy. Overall it’s good food and now my regular shop to go to

The best Fish and Chips, and Burgers, in Halswell no doubt about it. Ive tried them all and these are definately the best. Most nights the chips have that translucent look that tells you they are fresh and crispy. The burgers are 100% authentic kiwi tasting, like the fish and chips, they are cooked with care and pride.

After a rocky start from the new owners this fish and chip shop is nowseriously good. Good batter, lots of home made goodies and very well priced. The best in the area by miles. Worth trying again as they have got it right now.
