I just wanted a haircut, not a relationship. First time there was asked to give phone number. Absolutely no reason they need it, so refused. Lady seemed taken aback, but got on with the job. Good enough cut. Second time today. Man came to book us in. Asked for phone number. Said I didn't want to give it to him. He said I had to. Asked why as we weren't going anywhere. Said their system required it. I said there's no legal reason (under the Privacy Act, businesses must have a legal reason to ask for info). He said I must give my phone number. He wasn't budging, so we left. No means no, whatever the situation. If it had been a positive experience, you would have gained a long term customer, but thinking you have a right to my personal info that is entirely unnecessary for a haircut is plain creepy.

Real range of staff here from friendly to scowl-faced barbers with a chip on their shoulders. Guy with a beard for example......fine as long as you don’t have a suggestion to alter anything mid-cut, if you do expect a death stare and the silent treatment.

You will get a haircut here. But its poor quality for lots of money. I paid 48, which included wash and a blow-dry afterwards. The wash was lovely, and nice products used. The cut on the otherhand was perfunctory. I described what I wanted and at the time of blowdrying asked for more off and a better shape. The cutter didn't seem to be very careful. She hacked great chunks of hair. To get a bob you have cut the under layer a bit shorter to get a curl under. She did not do this. She missed a whole piece of hair behind my ears. And caught her comb in my earring. When I got home I had to restraighten one whole side of my bob with scissors myself. The blow-dry was a disgrace! I paid an extra 7 to get a blowdry and the end my hair was dry but not styled at all. My bob curls under around the edge beautifully but she just left it every which way with the edge flicking outwards in places. I do not think this was value at all. I came home, recut one whole side to even it, blowdried it and mousse and now it looks amazing. I should come out of the hairdressers feeling amazing but it was not a good experience at all..
