The large bronze memorial honours the life of the woman behind the fight for suffrage right. Not much activity here yet since the museum is still closed. The gardens are lovely in summer with lots of pretty, colourful blooms.

The bronze sculpture of Kate Sheppard along with the other five women was unveiled on1993 to commemorate 100 years since New Zealand women won the right to vote

Well the building itself is under MAJOR renovations right now that looks closer to falling down than ever opening up, but regardless the memorial sculpture and text is important on its own and decently carved at that. Surprisingly quiet area too as compared to just a few blocks down
