Great experience with Holly at Vivo Merivale!! Love my new colour. I felt looked after and like what I wanted mattered, book in with Holly quick.
I had hope for this company just before Christmas time but fell disappointed after my appointment. There were so many thing that were very poor. Professionalism was not there, I felt like I was always being judged, I was not talked to like other girls in the salon, in fact I felt like an outcast and the girl that did my hair was very rude and always complaining. Time management was one of the worst. She was 40 minutes late into my appointment which she never compensated for. Instead she rushed the whole process so she wouldn't have to work overtime. I would not have minded if she told me to come back the next day, but in reality she should have worked overtime to compensate for the lost time. I walked out so unsatisfied, my hair was choppy and at uneven lengths, the colour I asked for was far from it and instead looked so close to the colour I walked in as. Not to mention, she highlighted my roots so sharply despite me asking for a soft feather so the regrowth is horrific. I paid this appointment with a grab one deal of 185 and I wouldn't even say it was close to worth that amount. On average I pay approx 250 at other places and would 100% pay them more for their results. Honestly, if you're a blonde girl looking for something as simple as highlights and a cut, don't bother coming here. You'll walk out looking like a voodoo doll. Appalling.
Beware of google advertising as my query took me to the Merivale hair salon after I purchased a skin package which cannot be used anywhere in Canterbury. This was a waste of money.
The salon is tidy, clean & staff are friendly. Saw Aimee for the blonde transformation package, her attention detail is faultless, so happy with the result, will definitley be back.
Sorry but charging 60 for a basic men's cut is a ripoff, especially when other Vivo branches charge 40. You need to be more transparent with pricing - it used to be on your booking system but was removed... I guess it makes extorting easier (-:
