When we first decided to start our project we weren't sure whether we needed an architect as we thought the money would be best spent somewhere else and we could do all the designing ourselves (really how hard could it be) After some research and speaking to our local planning office we realised that there could be a fair bit of work involved (well outside my ability) and started looking for an architect. This was all new to us as we had never needed an architect before and all the ones we had contact with seemed to be what we were after and were roughly the same price, but we did have to make a decision and we are so glad we chose Christie Architecture! From our first contact it seemed right to chose Christie Architecture, we just had a feeling about them and we were right! Niall has been amazing start to finish, very professional and easy to talk to. He didn't just throw ideas at us and plans he thought we should do, he listened to what we wanted and worked with that and has come back with a design that was simply stunning! It's great seeing drawings of a design on paper but when Niall provided us with the artist impression, wow! It just made it more real, we could visually see what our project would look like and we are excited! Niall has done everything from organising drainage scans to speaking to the structural engineer and building control. I had no issue emailing him about anything as he always helped and advised me as much as he could and always responded in a short time. I'm not sure what other architects designs would of been, but to be honest I don't care. Working with Niall has been great, he's made our plan of a build a reality and without him we would of never had the amazing design we do now, I couldn't recommend Christie Architecture enough! I will definitely use them again for any future projects. So if you're planning a build and think money would be better spent somewhere else then think again, it has been worth every penny!!

We instructed Niall to assist us with planning/building of our extension and it took away so much stress for us as Niall was very knowledgeable and we could leave him to deal with the planning side of things, as we didn’t have a clue where to start! He came round to our house initially to take measurements etc so he could produce the drawing plans which were then produced ready to submit for planning. Niall submitted planning for us and liaised with the relevant parties/authorities which helped us as we work full time and not always able to take time out of our days to carry our such tasks ourselves. Once planning was finalised Niall liaised with our builder to sort out the final touches ready for the build to begin and also throughout the build with any queries. We would definitely recommend to friends/family and it was worth the cost for us to not have to worry about anything as we could trust that Niall would deal with any queries/issues which arose.
