Deposited a large check. When I got home, the manager had left a message for me. I hit redial from the number he called from and it said 'This number is not in service.' He left no other number. I found the number online and am now on hold for 10 minutes. When I went in, two tellers were sitting talking to each other - why aren't they answering the phone? Now I am concerned about this check, with no way to talk to anyone. Kind of typical 'race to the bottom' scenario the banks are engaged in for WoCSEP - Worst Customer Service Experience Possible. I think Scotia Bank has RBC edged out, but man - it's a close contest. They're both kind of impossible to deal with. update - finally got through. But why do banks make it so hard to talk to the local branch now? It's ridiculous.
