So I called HELP because of their extensive advertising with Marty Brennaman for my 89 y/o father who is getting home hospice care. His furnace was leaking water. The appointment was for Saturday 11/14 from 3-5. I traveled from my northern Warren County home to be there by 3. The tech arrived about 5:30. After only looking at the unit proposed a just under 1000 fix and set for Tuesday 11/17 at 1:00. I took off work to be there by 1. I called at 2:40 and inquired when the tech would arrive. I was told my appointment was scheduled for 1-3, but I was told 1:00. Then I was informed it got pushed to 3-5, no one told me. I was told they would be there in 45 minutes. After 50 minutes I called again and told them I refused to pay a contractor to hold me hostage as if I had no other choice. Thank God. I called Reading Heating and Air. They were prompt and the problem was loose screws on the collector box. That's it. A little over100 including service charge. Marty Brennaman you should be ashamed to be their spokesman.

I am person who likes to understand the details of work being done to my home. Reading Heating and Air Conditioning definitely met all of my requirements for what is a significant project for my home. It took a total of 5 days to remove and replace my HVAC and neither the owner or workers rushed the job. Instead, they concentrated on doing it right.

Last month called to have AC unit checked because it was not working, tech worked alittle over 2 hours and stated to me he would not find the leak. Tech informed me its very small and he’s sure this “stop a leak” solution will work plus the cost of adding freon, costed me 529 AC worked for 10 hours, leak was not fixed. Company returned the next day and the tech DID NOT fix the leak and told me it will another repair bill! DO NOT USE this company!! I am so disappointed, just threw my money out the window.

Saturday late afternoon we were sweltering. The AC went out on our home. I had(!) contracts with 1Hour H&A/C. I called them. The soonest they could come out was Tuesday PM. I told them I was calling around, and if I could get a truck to show up before their truck arrived, I was cancelling all my contracts for 24X7 1 Hour service and never using them again (40-year relationship). Reading picked up on the 3rd ring after 1600. The lady said a guy would call me in 30 minutes. in 90 minutes, the problem was fixed. 1) I will call Reading first from now on. 2) I have cancelled all contracts with 1 Hour, and will never call them again.
