Please no one send your love ones here! My grandpa passed away because he was not taken care of like any loved one should be! His phone was stolen after he passed away, they never even called till a month later to get his stuff. They did not care at all! Our family is not done yet! We will never exactly know what happened! But I will let everyone know to beware of this place!! They hardly answer the phone, and the list goes on! How can any place of business be this way over people that should be treated like a human being! No one deserves to be treated this way, the staff members choose their jobs, if you don’t enjoy it go somewhere else! These are people that should be treated like their own family members! Please don’t send your loved ones to this place!

My mother went into Emerald Care about 4 months ago. She tells me they are mean, and hateful to her. I went to visit through the glass yesterday evening and I had taken her some food. I gave it to the front attendant and went to visit my mom. I had been visiting over 20 minutes and her food had not been brought to her yet. I went back to the front and asked them why it hadn't been taken back to her. A worker told me she would look for it. I waited for a good 5 minutes for the worker to come to the door. I went back to the visit and a few minutes later a young man came onto the hall and didn't even know who the food was for. Once that had been taken care of my mom's room mate had to use the bathroom, and asked my elderly mom to help her, because no one would help her. My mom informed me that she always has to help her, because no one will help. My mom has had a hip replacement and a broken wrist and is almost deaf and legally blind. She is on oxygen and she had to help another patient on the toilet. I was very upset. I even tried to attract the attention of one of the ladies working there. The lady held up a finger tellibg me , in a minute. I waited. The resident lady was needing to go to the potty bad and begged my mom to help her. My mom finally had to help her. The next time I see the worker girl is when she walked out of the nurses station, eating ice cream! My mom was crying by the time I left, saying they are mean to me! Please take me home. There has been many instances that has happened. I have talked many times with the head nurse, Connie about her missing brand new cloths, and other items. Nothing ever gets found or done. They won't call me back or take calls from me. I leave messages and wait. NOTHING! The phones are down alot. You can't call to check on loved ones or anything. My mother says the food there isn't fit to feed to dogs. What is hard about feeding old people? Quality of life is what it's about to the elderly.

My dad was here, and everything started out fine. He has developed acute altered mental status so he has had some good and bad days. My dads wife got a call from an ER in Tulsa stating they had him there this morning. She never received a call from the facility that they had transferred him there. He had become aggressive and lashed out at staff so they transferred him out. As a nurse, I understand the need for transfer. I do not understand the lack of communication though. Communication regarding transfer of care is common decency. I know these facilities are working hard throughout the Covid crisis but to scare family like that is inexcusable. If basic patient communication is missed, it makes me wonder about the bigger things.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to take there family there. I have had several family members go there and they were treated horribly. The food is a mystery and has been served with mold on it. The night staff would rather sit around than assist the patients When you need staff you can't find them. You go to management and they are rude. They don't follow HIPPA regulations. You hear employees talking about patients medical issues for everyone to hear. Admissions will tell you one thing to get you in the door, then when you get there it isn't anything like you are expecting. They have some good staff that will help you out on the floor and they run themselves ragged until they quit or find another job. They buy the cheapest products for the patients to have to use and never have enough in stock.
