I'm glad I found out about this hidden gem! Jim is very talented and does an awesome job on guitar repairs. My husband and I take our guitars to him for maintenance. Most of the time he is able to fix things right on the spot. He's knowledgeable with a warm personality and his prices are very reasonable!! Check him out!

We just had a great experience with Alexi Strings. James did a wonderful job tuning our daughter's violin and was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him to work on your violin or guitar and it was super cool to see him building guitars too! Thanks again Alexi Strings.
I highly recommend this place! I brought in an improperly stored guitar that hadn't been played in 8 years, and Jimmy had it looking and playing better than it did when it was brand new when I got back from him!
I completely recommend! I went in asking if it was worth repairing the guitar my husband brought home. The owner was AWESOME and told me what it would take, and agreed that it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one. He didn't try and sell me one.. he was just being completely honest.. I appreciated that more than anything!! I highly recommend!
I first visited James because I inherited an old violin with busted strings and missing the bow. He was able to tell me all about it - era of manufacture, country of manufacture, and also informed me it was not suitable to play in the current state. This was no problem for me since I do not play violin and only wanted to display it. He hooked me up with a wall hanging display, replacement used strings and an an inexpensive bow I could use with the display. I came back to James with an old guitar that had excessive string action. He was able to replace and modify the saddle, set up the guitar, and give it a quick cleaning. No doubt it looks and plays better than it did in the 80's. His passion and knowledge for stringed instruments is incredible, prices are very reasonable, and loves to talk about stringed instrument repair / manufacture and also violin / mandolin / guitar music. Highly recommended!
