The doc is booked out for weeks, so don't bother calling if you broke your hand yesterday. Unless you don't mind being seen by a nurse practitioner. Your hand will be out of the cast by the time he can see you.

Top notch. I see one left a horrible review. Theres always that person... I found him professional, his office staff friendly and he fixed a badly broken arm and dysfunctional hand from it. Bravo on your work!

Dr. Hoyen has operated on my thumbs, fingers, and just repaired my left shoulder rotator cuff. He is a knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and personable doctor. I wouldn’t see anyone else!

My experience was horrible. I had a flexor tendon repaired on my right pinkie finger about three years ago and my finger still looks like it was run through a meat grinder. About a month ago my pinkie finger started to swell up and burst open bleeding and pouring out puss on the opposite side of the surgery. I went to the doctor and they thought it might be a cyst but a couple days later it burst again and a blue-green string came out. It is still hanging out of my finger and seems to be pretty deep. I called Dr. Hoyens office and they made it sound like I was crazy and after about 10 minutes of convincing them that he was the only person who has been inside of my finger and that I don't have a history of spontaneously growing strings out of my body they set me up with an appointment in a MONTH AND A HALF. I was told by Dr. Hoyen to come back if I ever needed anything but the nurse made it sound like the offer had expired. Call me crazy but I don’t think it is too much to ask to have him remove a stitch the he left inside of me after any length of time.
