I hired them few years ago to complete out cabana, deck and patio. Cabana is okay. But, composite desk is attached by visible nails which makes the deck look ugly. There patio work is Really disappointing and I had to pay another company to remove everything and redo it. I added this part later: By the way, it started showing the signs of sinking around the time of 2015 and that's one the reasons I decided not to hire them again. But, the pavers in most areas started looking uneven after about 5 years and I recently hired another company to fix it and to add more area. They recommended me against fixing it and gave me a deep discount for replacing this area. And I decided to post my comment after 7 years because I don't think anyone is spending money for a patio to be replaced (entirely) just after 7 years. And yes, I am very unhappy that I have to spend my money again...

I've known Mark Shriner since our boys played t-ball together many years ago so when we decided to have our deck redone he was the first person I thought of. From that first email he has been very responsive and helpful. He sent out a nice packet outlining what his company does and followed up with a phone call. He came out and looked at the project and provided me with a quote. Any questions I had he answered right away and gave my wife and I great ideas that would leave us with the best looking deck possible. His team was very thorough during the process as well and when they came across some issues that needed to be resolved he notified me right away and although it required additional material and manpower it did not significantly add to the cost of the job. I chose Distinctive Deck Designs because they were a local \Trex Pro Platinum\ contractor on the Trex website. Our existing deck was in rough shape. We decided to do a partial deck replacement, keeping some of the existing framing while replacing everything else. Mark was very responsive to all questions and emails.
