The Practice Manager, Julie Ball, has now created multiple Gmail accounts, and left numerous Five Star Ratings. This is wrong in so many ways. Reading the Manager’s comments, there is no need to blame, and even single-out, her Services’ Patients, as a response, particularly when they pay her salary, and receive sub-standard attention. This goes to exemplify why so many Patients are leaving such low reviews here. This place is not fit for Practice, and the culture of absconding on responsibility is particularly concerning, especially as they have a duty of care to carry out. I would sincerely advise against receiving healthcare from here.

1. Receptionists very rude. Having been prescribed medication since the beginning of 2020 for type 2 diabetes and needing repeat prescriptions, I'd been phoning my request through without any problems until now. I was told they don't issue repeat prescriptions over the phone and never have done. When I said they have done so on two previous occasions since January the receptionist insisted the haven't and passed the blame onto one of her colleagues saying they shouldn't have done so. 2. They give you their website address to request repeat medication which links you to Patient Access website. This is a waste of time. I've spent all afternoon trying to log on but without success. When I called them to say it won't let me access the system the receptionist just basically had no understanding of my issue, saying nobody else has has any problems. I still haven't been able to get my repeat meds ordered. I have been recommended to register with another surgery by a family member who used to be a patient here and who left because of the poor communication from a receptionist. Something I am hoping to do in the coming week or so. Do not register with this surgery they are useless.

I became a patient with this surgery over 20 years ago. I was homeless at the time and I tried to register with many other surgeries and not one would register me cos I was homeless. I was suicidal at the time as I had been asking for help and no one was listening, landed up speaking on the phone to a nurse and she wanted to send ambulance I refused as I was job hunting so she said to get in touch with this surgery. I saw Dr Seeley and she is the best Doctor I have ever had, she goes way above what is expected of her, so kind and understanding. Since the pandemic it has been difficult to speak to her but that is not her fault. I will only see Dr Seeley but am sure other Doctors in the practice are just as good. All the dealings I have had with the various receptionists have always been positive and they have always been caring and helpful. I would definitely recommend this surgery and cannot understand the bad reviews at all. Thank you to all the hard working staff here.

To continue to protect our patient and staff, due to the active coronavirus pandemic, we are continuing our remote access service. This has inevitably impacted on the number of calls we receive and make each day, they have significantly increased throughout the whole day, not just first thing. We appreciate people are worried and want to speak to their GP; this may not always be necessary and please note that we have launched On-line Consult which is available from our website. This can also be used as a self-help tool. These are truly worrying times, which make people scared and vulnerable, the effect of this is a huge demand on general practice. Therefore, please do not complain if your call is not connected or answered immediately. We are all working as hard as we can to support all our patients.

Been going here for my whole life, and there has never been a point where getting an appointment wasn't extremely difficult. You'll currently be told that you can't get one unless you ring in at 8AM, but if you try that then the line will be busy. Ring in any later, and they'll tell you to try again tomorrow at 8AM. To be that far over capacity for years and not moving to a larger building and/or hiring more receptionists is inexcusable, really. It's a shame, as I've had generally positive experiences with most of the GPs on the rare occasion I've been able to see them.
