Six members of our family spent a weekend, lodged at the Bunkhouse, and enjoyed the time immensely. We participated in an evening feeding of the animals Lovely , lovely place. The staff and owners were extremely helpful and warm and explained the breeding programs and the different wild animal residents. We understand that the ranch houses about 700 animals, some almost extinct in the wild. If you have been looking for a place for a family gathering this is it.

Absolutely love Texas Safari! Three lovely, modern houses to stay overnight, over 8 miles of paved road and owner's give you feed to give to animals, about 1,000 acres of wildlife to explore. Saw over 500 animals spotlighting one evening! Western Town is so fun, too, I've held several events in the Saloon! Several Ponds to go fishing. Authentic Tonkawa Indian Cave is incredible to explore. Scenic views everywhere you look with benches on the hills to take in the beautiful views. Endless things to do and so many amazing, exotic animals to see up close.

No day trips. You have to spend 2 days even if local. Kinda made us feel unwanted when we called to ask about them. Seems like it might be a wonderful place but, I want to feel non pressure when visiting places. The 2 day 900.00 was ok I guess but, I like behind scene tours. Animals and people act different when you do. We pay for it but, we know when is more important then us or our feelings even though it's our time and money. They didn't even want to talk about it. We might have paid if we they would have given us a minute. We love these places so, go if you do too. We love that people are trying to help animals. So, come to TX and see our sites. They seem like wonderful animal care givers. We just like what we like. Be kind and treat animals better then you would the love of your life because, we are here borrowing there home. See you around we hope and please give them a chance if ya need a place to stay for a couple of days and see TX awesomeness and animal husbandry at it's finest.
