A heartfelt thank you to Clive Beardall and his highly talented team. I suspect, like most people, one of the major factors in deciding which furniture restoration company we’d use was simply that of distance and the workshops of Clive Beardall Restorations Ltd in Maldon High Street can be no more than a 5-minute walk from our front door. However, even if we’d been prepared to travel the entire length of the country, we really couldn’t have chosen better. We presented him with a much loved but very tired 1970s (mid-century modern) Danish rectangular, single-pedestal dining table of typically sleek & simple design and finished in mid oak with colour matched cork inlay. From a distance, it still looked a good quality timeless piece of furniture (and Clive seemed to quite like it too) but as you got closer, you started to see its problems, especially on the upper surface where the cork inlay had become wine stained and had even started to bubble and lift in places. The transformation when we picked it up was nothing short of amazing. In little more than a week Clive’s team had completely overturned 45-years of wear & tear to present us with a table that looked absolutely stunning. Even more remarkably, they had managed to retain and refurbish the original cork inlay which was now totally flat and indistinguishable from new! As you will have gathered from the above, we have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Clive Beardall and his amazingly talented team. It’s rare indeed these days to find such craftsmanship – and all the more pleasing when they turn out to be such a friendly and helpful group of people.

Took a badly damaged and unloved designer table to Clive, he was very pleasant and advised of all the work required to bring it back to best. I was a little apprehensive but when I came to collect the table, it was stunning. clearly a lot of work and care and attention to revive this lovely table. He was very accommodating - coming into the workshop when he wasn't due to be in to accommodate my busy schedule. I am happy to recommend Clive.

We have had our dining room table corrected from years of damage caused by our growing daughter, When I say its better than new I am not kidding you. The finish is like silk, the care collecting and delivering were second to none. I could not, and would not recommend anyone else. Thank you for dealing with our table we are so pleased with the outcome.

Rude!! Spoke with Clive to obtain a quote. Found him rude and patronising and he also belched down the phone to me!!
