Took monthly payment for a car we didn't even collect. Despite many phone calls to them they assured my husband that no money would be transferred until car driven off garage forecourt!! How wrong could they be!! We didn't pick up the car as a lot of mechanical issues with it, however Close Brothers STILL TOOK CAR LOAN MONEY FOR A CAR WE'VE NEVER OWNED!!! Wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole!!! Now we've got the long drawn out issue of trying to get our money back. A completely unprofessional company. UPDATE *** AS USUAL A TYPICAL GENERIC REPLY TO MY REVIEW. DIDN'T EXPECT ANY FAVOURS FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY ***

Horrific, intimidating and unsympathetic company that have been very difficult to work with. - missed a direct debit payment as I had completely forgotten to transfer funds from business account to personal account - after 44 months of timely and stress free payments - was dragged through the coals by these guys. Charges placed for every little cost as a result. I had spoken to them and had said there was no issue and they could call me again to pay when i wasn't working in clinics. They couldn't get hold of me when i was working and within 2 working days had sent someone out to my home to intimidate me. I wasn't home so they intimidated my father who's old. They also charged me for that visit. They then responded to my complaint without actually speaking to me to find out what the complaint was!! There are lots of lenders for car finance these days - please stay away from this company, they do not have your best interests at heart like most, but have a very sinister feel to them the moment there is a small hiccup. Hopefully I can save someone the stress with this review. Best wishes, majid
As an independent car dealer I can honestly say Close Brothers Mother finance are now firmly a preferred finance partner. From initial set up and training on their systems through to continuous back up and support as and when needed they have in our experience been second to none. After 6 months of working together I can honestly say I have absolutely no complaints and neither have any of our customers who we have arranged finance for through them. Special thanks to our area manager Ben Culpin and all the rest of the team who have been fantastic. Keep up the good work guys and thanks again for all your efforts. This company is a bloody joke, I have settled my finance off and 3 weeks after they have charged me a monthly installment I rang up 4 time's to get refund, every 5 days I have been told I have to wait another 5 days and never recived my money back, what a scam.. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS FINANCE COMPANY. They should be called close brothers motor scam!!!
