Excellent museum to learn about the mining history of the Cobalt area. What is the link between the Eastman Kodac film company and the mines of the Cobalt area? You will have to go to the Cobalt Mining Museum to find out! Love the renovations to the display rooms.

This place literally is a hidden gem. It is well worth a 6 hour drive from Toronto and I try to visit it every year. There are very interesting and informative exhibits related to mining as well as general history of Cobalt and are, and an extensive library of mining literature. I believe their collection is extremely valuable and is worth seeing. In addition to exhibits, visitors can go on a real mine adit tour with a knowledgeable tour guide. This is an unforgettable experience.
Return visitor. You get such a sense of the old days of mining as there is so much history here. It's really a great experience. Curator was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
I went to this museum while at the Spring Pulse Poetry Festival. Cobalt has such a rich history. Worth a visit.
Waaaay bigger than we expected. The tour to the old mine at site 16 was quite interesting and well worth the price. Also check out all of the other #'d areas around town
This was an eye opening educational experience. The Museum was surprisingly comprehensive like a well composed living non-fictional novel! A must see.
The mine tour was really informative! The girls giving the tour were well informed. Would reccomend if you like mining and or silver!
Drove all the way for nothing, web site said open yet they were closed.
