We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before attending a wedding. The day after the wedding we came back for a 3rd night and brought our friends. The service we received at the hotel was awesome! Vanessa goes over and above. She takes you on a personal tour upon arrival. She responds to requests immediately. Her personality is a bonus on top of that. The room was amazing. Exactly as booked. We enjoyed everything of this place and would love to go back one day. The thing that was most impressive was the linen. It smelled awesome-like home. Usually linen smells like nothing at a hotel; not here. Thanks Vanessa and King George Inn.

Outside does not reflect the inside. My son and I had one of the old jail rooms and we loved it. The room was quirky, shower had great pressure. Service was friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for access to marina, beach, downtown restaurants.
All I have to say is WOW when it comes to King George Inn this is by far one of the best places to stay in cobourg. I was planning to stay at Woodlawn but they were so non-accommodating during the pandemic. The staff Vanessa had the best interpersonal skills, customer service and communication skills. She was prompt and hospitable. My room theme was royal blue. And the space was so large and clean. I was 5 minutes away from the cobourg marina. Look my pics to see how lovely my room is... Thanks Vanessa I had a great start to my Thanksgiving weekend..
I sent my friends to this place with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The dishes they serve are great and the crew is very friendly and cooperative. Whenever we eat in this place we enjoy a delightful evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.
Very nice staff/host! Room a bit tacky, not the most comfortable bed but room was clean and the novelty of it all is very fun. The location is perfect. Nice walk to the beach. The museum in the basement is cool but lights were not working in several rooms. Overall it is worth a stay for the fun of staying in jail overnight.
We stayed in a stunning double room which was beautifully decorated. Our hostess Vanessa was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay of two nights. Walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants made it a great location. The hotel is in a quiet location and it's history and the buildings are very interesting.
This boutique hotel is a former prison and many of the rooms have been renovated in a prison theme. The building was functioning as a prison until 1998. The basement still has parts of the prison that can be toured as part of your stay like solitary confinement rooms and exercise yard. Really a fun place. This establishment has lots of potential to become quite a destination. I appreciated that there was a power bar in the room we could use to charge our devices as well as a smart tv that gave us access to our Netflix account. I wish more hotels did this. Adding ductless airconditioning to the rooms would be a nice addition.
Cobourg jail renovated into hotel Inn. Rooms still have cell bars and bunks included. Friendly staff. Though a little under staffed. Close to the beach.
