After attending the IDS in January, I fell in love with the cabinet company Miralis and gave my information to speak to dealers in our area. I was promptly contacted by Bethany Sloggett, owner of Younique Kitchens and Bath Design to set up an appointment. After meeting with Bethany, I felt relief because she quickly figured out that I needed a whole project direction and a plan from start to finish dealing with general contractors, plumbers, electricians, the Town of Cobourg building department blah, blah, blah. (Insert headache) Bethany knows how to navigate this world and knowing our tight timelines, she pulled together an impressive team of contractors, architects and plumbers. She has had plenty of experience to foresee and proactively avoid the inevitable issues that spring up in a poorly planned renovation. But the best and most exciting part of my meetings with Bethany, is that her taste in design matched mine, and yet she knows how to operate a budget to get you what you ultimately want – an amazing space that family and friends gather in to cook, eat and enjoy the company. We decided to work with YouNique when we took on a major renovation project in our “new to us” home. YouNique was by far the best contractor involved in terms of quality, value for money and customer service. We had a general idea of what we wanted, and how we wanted everything to look, but YouNique was able to help us pull it all together. The work was completed exactly as scheduled, and not one detail was missed. Not only was the design team a pleasure to work with, the installers who worked on-site were fantastic. YouNique strived to make sure that we were happy every step of the way. We would absolutely recommend YouNique to friends and family, and we look forward to working with the team again as we continue working to personalize our home.

Used Younique when we wanted to update and extend our main bathroom. We met with Brian in the initial meeting and formed an instant repoire and the information he shared about the process had us very excited to work with him. Unfortunately Brian left Younique shortly after our meeting so a lot of details were not transfered which created a bit of confusion at the start and created expectations on our oart that led to frustrations. Overall we were happy with the design and when it was all said and done we love our bathroom. Not to say there werent issues but what project ever goes smoothly. Regardless of the sub contractor and manufacturer issues Andrew really worked hard to resolve and ensure we were satisfied. Its rare that a project with the delays and issues experienced stayed within budget but Andrew made sure we werent impacted. The staff and sub contractors we came in contact with were all very nice . unfortunately with that many people working on a project you get different standards of work which can be challenging. Andrew was always open to hearing our concerns and working to resolve. The only feedback I woukd provide is the level of detail as it relates to workback scedules - the more infornation the better ! I had to constantly ask about details to feel comfident the work was included in the scope. Andrew was great and always answered my questions promptly and took time to help ne understand. Coming from an environment that relied heavily on strong project managemnt skills I see they have the foundations in place and have a strong desire to improve as they grow to ensure they are providing positive experiences for their customers. In closing I would like to say that its rare to have direct contact with the owners of a business and we very much appreciated this! both Bethany and Andrew are the nicest people.

Andrew and his carpentry crew did a wonderful job in repairing one of our kitchen cabinets after we encountered a problem with the weight of the contents (too many dishes and cookbooks!). Its was a real blessing that they were willing to help us out with a small job. They were prompt, professionally skilled, and friendly. We highly recommend YouNique Kitchens & Bath in Cobourg. We're already dreaming of our next project with them!
