Really cool place to visit. Didn't spend the money to go inside but just walking outside was great. If you want a relaxing place to walk, can highly recommend.

A very nice fortress with a lot of history stories and heritage. It is one of the most important place in German history. Found out a lot of things about the old German Hohenzollern dynasty. The walk up to the place is through a nice park for about 30 minutes. The fortress inside building has many interesting architectural details and the museum was open in April until 17.00h.
Beautiful place! There was an exhibition on but unfortunately the 'historical route' through the exhibition didn't really make logical sense. Loved the horse drawn carriage display.
The Veste provides an amazing view of the surrounding Germany while also providing amazing historical information and facts about the local history. The castle itself is amazingly built and comes close if not exceeds nearly every expectation set by most Disney fairytale castles.
Since watching 'Victoria' in the UK, I've alwasy wanted to visit Coburg Castle and it did not disapoint. The views are great from all sides of the estate, and there is plenty to see and walk around. Due to COVID we did not look in the house but I hear it is good. There is a cafe for drinks and your deatils will be taken. the walk up is very nice and well worth it.
Beautiful place full of history. War castle, strategically built on the top of a mountain, with an unbeatable view Inside is a war museum, with history of the wars lived in the fortress, full of weapons of all types and periods. Armors and also carriages and sleds.
Great place to visit in Coburg, especially in summer.
It's a Beautiful castle and you can actually walk all over the place without paying anything. And if you have the time waking from Schlossplatz is a wonderful 30 minute walk.
