Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms, be sure to ask for one with a view of the castle and the river. Good wellness area with pool, rest area and sauna. The location is quiet but not directly in town. Due to the small size of the town this is not really a problem.

Very professional and helpful service. During a recent cycle tour we visited several hotels and Wellnesshotel Kessler-Meyer was by-far the best organised and efficient. Able to still give a excellent service under the new restrictions. Meal time options are organised through a web app which still allowed a good menu selection without the need to fill in manual forms or wait in a queue to be served. Food was of the highest quality, the room was very comfortable with a small bottle of wine and some mineral water as a gift in the room.
Hotel facilities were fine and rooms were okay, but a bit old - looks like they will go through a make over soon. However, very unpleasant experience with the staff in the restaurant. We were on a trip to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and decided to eat in the hotel's restaurant with a couple of friends. The waiter who served was very unfriendly, did not want to reply in English, did not smile, answered very impolitely when we asked for a cooler for the wine that was way too hot. Also replied in a very rude manner, when we asked to wait a little bit for the main course, which we asked for immediately as the plates from the starter were taken out. We were not offered dessert and it was evident that they wanted us to leave as soon as poosible. I am very disappointed and sad about this unpleasant experience and we are not coming back to Kessler-Meyer.
The hotel staff is super nice and helpful. The complementary breakfast is fantastic. The spa and pool are incredible. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review is that we stayed in the top floor room which had a very low ceiling in parts of the room and was incredibly warm due to the fact that the room seems to be a retrofitted attic which has no air conditioning. However, I'd bet the other rooms in the hotel would have been much better.
Nice hotel in a good location. There are stairs that take you to a street that connects downtown (15-20 min walk). The staff is friendly, but you have to wait for a while when you get to the reception area because they're all in the back. The rooms are good in size. The "family room" (connected by a common door that faces the hall) has no lock for the outside door, at night you have to lock both doors separately. These room are separated from the hotel and have no view other than a small private yard and the street. Is a quiet location despite of being next to the street because is a sleepy town. The breakfast buffet is good and has a lot of variety. The servers are friendly and attentive. Unfortunately we had one server that decided to talk to us about trump and how he liked him, which totally ruined my breakfast, because I didn't need to remember that guy being our president.
I made a group booking of 29 people with the hotel and they really looked after us. I would say that it is not cheap but it is worth it. We enjoyed four nights and on two of those we had an excellent dinner in the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic. We found that the walk into town was a bit of a trek although it helped work up an appetite. The views and location generally are fantastic. English is very well spoken in the hotel even though the website is in German only.
This hotel is magnificent!! The staff are super helpful and always happy looking. They always have time to answer all your questions and help you in any way. The hotel itself is super clean and the rooms are fantastic. We would have loved to take the bed home lol. The swimming pool and whirl pool are great and so relaxing after a hot day. The Spa is fantastic!!! I had a pedicure done and the pedicurist Karen was wonderful and so knowledgeable!!! I had the happiest feet for days :) . Last but not least, the food is some of the best myself and husband have ever eaten!!! The breakfast buffet has everything you could want. The supper time 3-course meals are superb!!! They are as much a joy to look at (for the presentation) as they are to eat!!! Needless to say, we would have no problem staying here again and certainly will the next time we are in Cochem Germany.
Enjoyable hotel with good meals, not sure it's particularly romantic, but I enjoyed my stay.
