Fantastic recycling and general garbage station. Staff is always respectful, and try to help. I’ve used this place a few dozen times, and have never had a bad experience. A well run organization.

From the outside looking in the Kootenai County Transfer Stations seem to be an anomaly to the rule that government can't do anything right. The place is as clean as a dump can be, they move traffic along quickly, encourage recycling, and are affordable. I've never seen a better run dump.
Great dump site for branches, tires and leaf drop off. Friendly city workers most helpful. We're lucky to have Kootenai County Solid Waste. Update: 4 trips total last week.
Of course I needed to drop some stuff off, but the main reason I was willing to go is because of the amazing reviews. I got there and it is tremendously efficient, no hassle whatsoever, everyone was extremely friendly. I can’t believe how great experience I had.
Very well managed facility with clear signage and a friendly staff.
