They will abuse you. There isnt a moment that goes by where I dont think of how Cogents turn over rate just makes sense. I worked there a good while and progressed further than most temps in my position. As my time went on at cogent I was taught many things...but they were not. The turn over rate is so high because their lenient with absolutely nothing. My grandmother passed away and the day after I tried coming into work...I went home half way through the day as I was emotionally conpromised. This was an infraction apparently. Though im legally allowed some time after my loved one dies. I took the next day off. Also an infraction; though my grandma just died no one cared. I was told my late would be rolled back due to the circumstances. But apparently the cogent secret clause; if you get 5 infractions in your first 3 months you are reinstated as a temp. I had 6 because of the 3 after my grandma had passed away. Stay away from this place. They over work the employees that they underprovide for.

They do not care about your time! On my first day i had to wait an hour in the break room before they had time to talk to me. I was supposed to be a machine operator but I was put on teardown for the day since there were no spots available in tranco (which is what I was told I was hired for) They also didn't tell me that teardown works on a different schedule, and by the end of the day told me I would just stay in teardown because I was doing good. Don't waste your time, they have a high turn rate and there is a reason for that.

Great place to work, I had a great teacher who took the time to properly explain how to use a machine called the Tranco. You are assigned to a shift and hours are 7 am to 7 pm and switch 7 pm to 7 am biweekly. The place is managed well, and surprisingly the washrooms were great, i've worked in places where the washrooms were abhorrent.
